Gordon R. Munson
Gordon R. Munson, 88, of Panama, NY passed away Tuesday (January 14, 2025) in his home.
A lifelong area resident he was born August 10, 1936 in Jamestown, the son of Lyle Van Syle and Lottie Wells.
Gordon was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving for 4 years during the Korean War. In earlier years he was employed by Dalhstroms Manufacturing and prior to retirement was employed by Upstate Farms.
He enjoyed spending time with family at home and in North Carolina, air shows, traveling, tinkering, and fixing cars, he’d often be working under a car and fall asleep.
Gordon is survived by his two sons: Paul (Christine) Munson of Ashville, Mark Munson of Panama; grandchildren: Lacie Larson of Ashville, Paige Delahoy (Tanner) of Busti, Dr. Cole Munson of Cornelius, NC, Ashton Munson, Malory Munson both of Ashville; great grandchildren Jayce and Isla Delahoy both of Busti; his previous spouse Donna Munson.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Giambelluca; his third wife Carol Bergman; two brothers Charles (Patricia) and Ronald (Elaine) Munson.
A private service will be held in the Falconer Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
