Deborah E. Mohney

Deborah E. Mohney

Deborah Elizabeth “Debbie” Mohney, 67, of Jamestown, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. She was born in Jamestown on Jan. 10, 1958, to the late Elowyn Eugene and Ruth Carol McGrath Nutt.

A woman who loved life, Debbie was a proud mother who stayed loyal to raising her children. In later years, that compassion was intensified by her adoration for grandchildren.

Debbie was an avid artist, having the ability to craft beautiful works out of anything. Her pipe cleaner figurines will be forever cherished by her family. Further, she passed her craft-minded eye down to her daughter, as they proudly had ‘Keri’s Kreashunz & Deb’s Dreamz’ online for many years.

Along with her artistic hand came Debbie’s singing voice. She belonged to Smule and often recorded praised works as solos and more.

Debbie adored Tinker Bell so much so that it became her nickname. She also had an affinity for Batman as well as the Dallas Cowboys.

Above all else, Debbie’s kindness and willingness to give, even if she was in need, defined her heart. She and her husband ran Living Waters Open Bible in Busti, reaffirming her lifelong devotion to her Lord and Savior.

The unconditional love Debbie shared will be deeply missed by her daughters Kerilyn Morgan, and Jennifer Lampman; her grandchildren Tobias Lampman, Brian Park Jr., Damonn Park, Joshua Lampman, Brianna Dowd, Alecia Dowd, and Kevin Dowd Jr.; her great-grandchildren Christen Rodriguez, Dorleana Alger-Dowd, and Blake Park; her step-children Helena King, Miranda Evans, Laura Ryder, and Amber Warner; her sisters Carol LaMere, and Barbara Hitchcock; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her ‘best buddy’ and extremely close friend, Vaughn “Mike” Sweatman; and her pampered cat, Luna Marie.

Besides her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Lampman; her second husband, Rev. James R. Mohney, Jr.; her granddaughter, Christen Elizabeth Johnson; her step-grandson, Adrian Warner; and her sister, Mary Michael.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4-6 pm Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. A service of sharing will be from 5:30-6pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in Debbie’s name, to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
