Charleene E. Wallgren

One of 11 children, she was born July 31, 1925, in Jonesboro, NC to the late Jesse and Lola Belle Schobey Phillips.

For many years she was employed by Fashion Clothes as a press operator.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church for many years.

Shine enjoyed traveling, particularly her Fall trips with her son Dave. She loved going out to breakfast at area restaurants, especially Fishers Family Restaurant and Deans.

Surviving are three children Marsha (Steve) Cole of Jamestown, David Wallgren with whom she made her home and Bruce (Laurie) Wallgren of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren Shane Cole of Geneva, NY, Derek (Richelle) Cole of Glendale, CA, and Kassidy Wallgren and Kelsey Wallgren both of Virginia Beach; two great-grandchildren Savannah Zeda Burke of Florida and Steven Cole of Glendale, CA, and many nieces and nephews who she loved and enjoyed having many of them and their families in her home for Christmas day for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1961; mother in 1972; her husband Hilmer Wallgren, whom she married Aug. 4, 1946, and who died April 25, 1994; six sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
