Anne C. Kohl
Anne C. Kohl passed away peacefully in her home, on January 25, 2025. Anne was born on June 20, 1939, the daughter of Marguerite and Roy M Corey. She graduated from Rosary Hill College in Amherst, NY in 1961 and married her husband, Ronald Kohl, in 1962.
Anne moved to Jamestown in 1966 and became very active in the community. She served on the Boards of Directors of WCA Hospital, James Prendergast Library, the Fenton Historical Society, and the Lenna Foundation. She also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and served as a CASA appointed advocate. Anne was also involved with Chautauqua Adult Daycare, the St. Susans Center, and the Robert H. Jackson Center.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed her book club and playing bridge with her friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Kohl, and her brothers and their wives, Michael and Emilie Corey of Riverhead, NY, and Timothy and Jean Corey of Boca Grande, Florida.
She is also survived by her three sons and their wives: Gary and Nadya Kohl of Glen Ridge, NJ, Andrew and Mary Kohl of Bemus Point, NY, and Kevin and Christina Kohl of Chicago, Il. Anne had six grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Caroline, Alexandra, Lucy, Yared, William, and Amanuel.
The family will have a private memorial.
