Althea L. North

A lifelong area resident she was born Nov. 23, 1944, the daughter of the late Luther and Margaret Andrus Lewis Sr.

In earlier years Althea was employed by the former Chatter Box Restaurant in Greenhurst. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making quilts, pillows, blankets, and crocheting.

Surviving are three sons Harold J. (Saramarie) North III of Sinclairville, Thomas (Lisa) North of Jamestown, Todd North of Jamestown; three grandchildren James (Jamie) North, Jacob North, Jessica (Robert) Piskor; three brothers Luther Lewis Jr., Charles “Chuck” (Judy) Lewis, John Lewis, a sister Alice (Joseph) Fuller, and a brother-in-law Gerald Chiffin, several nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. North Jr. whom she married Oct. 6, 1962 in Jamestown, who died March 20, 2014, and a sister Mildred Chiffin.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Stahlman pastor of Family Church will officiate. Burial will be Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
