McKinney, Texas — Paul H. Erickson, 81, of Lands End Drive, McKinney, TX, formerly of Randolph and Fairport, NY, passed away, Monday (December 9, 2024) at home with his family by his side.
He was born May 13, 1943 in Kane, Pennsylvania the son of the late Harold Henry and Doris A. (Johnson) Erickson.
Paul was a 1961 graduate of Kane High School, Kane PA, and retired from Kimberly Clark in Fairport NY after 31 years of service as a Senior Account Manager. Earlier on he had worked as a manager for the former Randolph Market Basket in Randolph, NY and the Nestle Company.
He attended Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX, Paul’s memberships included, the Randolph Fire Company 1970-1985, past Chief 1983-1985, past President for the Randolph Central School Board of Education, Randolph JC’s and was a member of the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association as a representative.
Paul’s favorite hobbies were spending time with his family and dearest friends, traveling and taking cruises with family and friends. Paul and Carol loved to watch their grandchildren sports and were avid Buffalo Bills fans attending games in their RV for many years. He also collected Fireman’s and Buffalo Bills memorabilia.
He is survived by four daughters, Kelley (Tom Evans) Pollock, Kimberly (the late Douglas) Adams, of Randolph, Kristen (Jeffrey) Markiewicz and Kathleen Erickson of McKinney, TX., 8 grandchildren, Nicole (Cole) Beaver, Danielle Pollock, Derrick (Sara) Adams, Erica (Chris) Dybka, Austin, Dillon, Brandon and Nathan Markiewicz, along with 13 great grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Doris, and his wife of 60 years; Carole M. (Stockton) Erickson on July 6, 2021 as well a sister; Judith (George) Punk of Kane, Pa.
The family will receive friends and family at the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph from 4 -7 PM, Friday (Dec.20 2024). There will be a Fireman’s service at 6:45 PM Friday in the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the East Randolph Methodist Church, 122 Church Street, East Randolph. The Rev. Tim Middleton will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Randolph.
