Patrick S. Benedetto
Patrick S. Benedetto, 63, of 153 Newton Avenue, Jamestown, left us to go to the gates of heaven on December 25, 2024.
He was born on August 4, 1961, in Jamestown, NY, the son of Patricia M. Gilbert and the late Carmelo “Carl” Benedetto.
He attended Jamestown High School and later acquired his GED as well as Jamestown Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He worked various factory jobs and drove truck for UPS and Brigotta’s. He then became self-employed.
He played football in the City Rec League and excelled as a team player. He was a member of Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion.
Patrick was a very generous and giving man. He loved his family above all else and would do anything for them. He had a very unique laugh, more like a giggle, which would put a smile on everyone’s face.
He enjoyed riding his beloved motorcycle on leisurely drives. He loved shooting pool and played on a team for the Bullfrog Bar and Grill. He also loved playing golf, particularly with his brothers. He was an avid and devoted fan of the Detroit Lions.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia M. Gilbert of Jamestown; two siblings, Hope Furlow of Falconer and Timothy Benedetto (Tania) of Virginia, four children: Megan Montoya (Mark) of New Mexico, Jacob Benedetto (Brittany Riley) of Jamestown, Lea Benedetto of Mayville, and Jonathan Benedetto (Moneque Wyatt) of Cherry Creek, ten grandchildren; Brendon Montoya, Brenden Farnsworth, Carson Benedetto, Andrew Moore, Lillian Benedetto, Kameron Press, Kassidy Benedetto, Karmelo Benedetto, Penelope Benedetto, Jonathan Benedetto Jr. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carmelo “Carl” Benedetto; one son, Lucas Benedetto and two brothers, Stan Furlow and Guy Furlow.
Funeral Services will be held at Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 2, from 4-6 PM. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 3 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
