On December 6, 2024, Howard E Peters Jr. formally from Jamestown NY, left his earthly family and friends to go home to be with his Lord and heavenly family and friends. He was surrounded by family at home.

Born on August 18, 1936 to Howard E and Nettie Peters. Howie grew up in Lakewood NY, graduated from Southwestern in 1955, and worked as a bus driver before starting at the Jamestown Electric Plant, BPU. He worked with the BPU for 36 years retiring in 1996 as Power Plant Foreman. He sparked lights in the city and in everyone he encountered. In 1956 he married the love of his life Isabel Joy Peters, and they were a team for 63 years before her passing in 2020. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun and active in the Vikings Lodge 65,

After they both retired, they wintered in Palm Harbor for a few years before becoming full time residents in 2009. Howie was strong in his fatih and an active member of Presbyterian Church of Palm Harbor.

Howie enjoyed many activities including, boating, water skiing, dancing with Issy, dinner with friends, playing dominos, cheering for the Bills, and most of all playing golf. No matter where Howie went, his laugh and joyfull personality attracted genuine connections with those around him, and he was quick to lend a hand to anyone in need. In FL, he enjoyed going to shows, movies, and dinners with his Highland Lake friends when they were not catching up on the golf course. No matter where he was, he always made time to connect with and catch up with his family with phone calls and visiting when he could.

Howie was preceded in death by his loving wife Isabel, parents, his siblings Juva, Diane and Glenn (Pete).

Howie is survived by his son, Douglas (Beverly) Peters; his daughter, Gayle (Dan) Martin; two granddaughters, Kate Peters and Jennifer Martin; his sister-in-law, Barbara Dehil; and several nieces and nephews.

While he leaves a hole in the hearts of those who love him, Howie lived a full life and impacted many lives in his 88 years.

A memorial service will be held in Palm Harbor FL and Lakewood, NY at a later date.
