Ellen L. (Barlow) Bogert
Ellen L. (Barlow) Bogert, 100, resident of Sherman, NY, went to her eternal homecoming on December 18, 2024. Ellen was born August 6, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to John G. and Edna (Taylor) Barlow.
She was married to her husband in Wildwood, NJ. They celebrated 66 years of marriage. Ellen, with her husband Charles, were owner operators of Caleb Dairy Farm, until retirement. Ellen was a dedicated Mother to her five children, a caring Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Ellen was longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman where she served as a member of the choir, Deacon’s wife, Bible School teacher and a release time teacher. They enjoyed traveling and going to their winter home in Texas.
Ellen is survived by her children: Marie Flomerfelt of Ohio, David (Pam) Bogert of Oklahoma, Daniel (Christine) Bogert of Colorado and Nyla Rogers of New York; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Bogert, who passed in 2010; two sons: Bruce Bogert and an infant son, two sons-in-law and three sisters.
A Memorial service is to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Stanley Hose Company, 122 Park St., P.O. Box 574, Sherman, NY 14781 or Ashville Fire Dept., 5338 Stow Road, Ashville, NY 14710. Burial will be at Sherman Cemetery.
