Cynthia M. Bjork

Cynthia M. Bjork, 77, of Twinsburg, OH, formerly of Jamestown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Cleveland.

A 1966 graduate of Frewsburg Central High School, she went on to earn a certificate from The American Institute of Banking through Jamestown Community College.

Initially employed by the Bank of Jamestown, Cindy worked in banking for over 35 years. Prior to her retirement in 2005, she was employed by Key Bank as a private banker.

Over the past 3 years she was a learning instructor at Kumon Learning Center in Solon, OH, where she was able to fulfill her lifelong dream to teach young children.

Cindy was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown and of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hudson, OH.

She was also a member of the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity.

Cindy enjoyed shopping, tending to her hydrangea plants, going to the gym, and keeping up with all of her family and friends by phone and Facebook. She was always a call or message away to celebrate every success and to support any hardship.

She was devoted to her family and was lovingly referred to as “Mother Hen”. She never missed an opportunity to offer her guidance and advice to anyone and all. She became a second mother to so many.

Cindy dedicated almost 20 years of her life to caring for her granddaughters. Watching them grow up brought her great joy. She volunteered in their classrooms, drove them to and from activities, and was their biggest cheerleader at sporting events. She became known as Nana Cindy to a whole community of their friends, their friend’s parents, their peers, teachers and coaches.
