Timothy E. Ford

Timothy Edward Ford, born on May 25, 1961, in Jamestown, NY, to the late Charles Lewis and Roslynn Champlain, passed away on Nov. 6, 2024. Tim graduated from Panama Central School in 1979 and honorably served his country in the US Army.

Tim had a lifelong passion for deep-sea fishing and spent many memorable hours pursuing this hobby. An avid golfer, he participated in various leagues and was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees. Tim cherished time spent with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love and camaraderie.

Prior to his role as a state energy auditor for Sanfilippo Solutions, where he made significant contributions to energy efficiency, Tim dedicated 25 years of his career to the automotive industry, excelling in car sales and the automotive business.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Joe and Renee Sanfilippo for organizing a benefit in Tim’s honor.

Tim is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, JoLayne (Eggleston) Ford; his five daughters, Jennifer Ford, Nikki Ford, Jessica Ford (Jeff), Michelle Ford, and Jamie (Pat) Cochran; his stepson, James Chase; and his ex-wife and mother of three of his daughters, Colleen Wickles Coleman. He is also survived by his stepmother, Nancy Schyler, and his siblings: Rick (Doris) Ford, Dave (Sue) Ford, Don Ford, Steven (Sharon) Lewis, Ginny (David) Proudy, Gail (Victor) Sacchi, Cheryl Ford (Ellen Stewart), Richal (Bill) Hair, Kelly (Chuck) Eimers, Chris “Cricket” Sexton, and Tracy Schneberger.

Tim was a proud grandfather to Savannah Rizzo, Leah Chase, Isaac Chase, Kole Lamb, Kyra Manhart, Emori Huggins, and Bryleigh Chase. He will be deeply missed by his close friends Dan Matteson, Scott Sarvar, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tim in death are his parents, Charles Lewis and Roslynn Champlain, as well as his siblings Billie Lewis, Sandy Lewis, and Danny Lewis.

No services will be held as per the family’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, where Tim also donated in support of cancer research. Tim’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
