Sheridan N. “Brownie” Brown

He was born November 27, 1935 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late Nelson J. and Lois E. Ball Brown.

Prior to retirement Brownie was employed by the former Falconer Plate Glass. He was a life member of the Fluvanna Fire Department and enjoyed building and remodeling his home, spending time with family, golfing, and mowing his lawn.

Surviving is his son Gary Brown (Ann Swartz) of Jamestown; a brother Donald Brown of East Springfield, PA; a sister-in-law Amelia Brown of East Springfield, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy J. Miller Brown whom he married April 7, 1956, who died June 26, 2016; his daughter Carla Hix and a brother William Brown.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Brownie’s funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Rev. Doug Penhollow will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Lake View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Fluvanna Fire Department.
