Robin H. Kent

Robin H. Kent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin H. Kent, 70, of Mayville, NY on October 31, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara (Clark) Kent of Mayville, NY, and their two children, Christopher Kent of Mayville, NY and Lindsay Kent of Kittredge, CO. Robin also is survived by his mother Grace Kent of Georgetown, PA, his brother Sam (Susan) Kent of Sonora, TX, sisters Karen (Richard) Nash of Oxford, CT, Jean Mostert of Georgetown, PA, and Susie (David) Burton of Peewee Valley, KY, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Robin graduated from Chautauqua Central School in 1972. He acquired his A&P License from Riverside School of Aeronautics and went on to become the Director of Maintenance and Co-Pilot for Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department’s Starflight Helicopters for 25 years. He also served as a long-time commissioner at the Hartfield Fire Department. His passion for mechanics extended into his many hobbies, which included inventing, building, and fixing almost anything. His proudest creations were restoring his Subaru 360 microcars and creating the Batmobile with his daughter. Robin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling with his son. He also enjoyed attending car shows, helping his wife in the garden, and in their Wee Wood mobile home park. Most often, he was seen driving around town with his dog, Beasley, who passed away the week prior.

Robin will be remembered for his kind and light-hearted soul, his dependability, and all the laughter he brought into our lives. His memory will live on in all who knew him. Robin requested no services, but a Celebration of Life will be planned in the coming months.
