Randolph-Michael P. Wargo
Randolph-Michael P. Wargo, 77, of Jamestown Street, Randolph, passed away on Sunday (November 24, 2024) at home with his family by his side while under the care of hospice.
He was born January 2, 1947 in Shinglehouse, Pa., the son of the late Gene H. and Maxine “Billie” (Campbell) Remington.
Mike attended Rushford High School and was a 20 year Veteran of the Military, having served 4 years with the Marine Corp. and 16 years with the Army.
He retired in 2013 from Jamestown Bronze after 32 years of service as a machine operator. Prior to that, he had worked at the former Aolean plant in Randolph.
Mike attended the East Randolph Methodist Church, was a lie member of the Randolph Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6533 and was a member the Randolph American Legion Post 181. He had also been a member of the former Randolph Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2271.
He enjoyed outside seasonal decorating, woodworking, playing cards and bingo.
He is Survived his wife Marie “Nancy” Fuller Wargo, whom he married on June 1, 1970 in East Randolph, two daughters, Tara (Paul) Davies of Springville, Tanya (Chris) Brown of Portland, NY, two grandchildren, Paul Davies and Louis Davies, a sister-in-law; Joan Remington of Machias and a nephew; Adam J. Remington, as well as a dear friend Bonnie (the late Norman) Moon of East Randolph.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Gene (2006) and Billie (1993), and a brother, Gene “Mick” H. Remington Jr. on May 7, 2013, as well as many dear aunts and uncles.
As per Mike’s wishes, there will be no services held.
