Julie A. Baggiano
Julie A. Baggiano, 67, of Jamestown and Venice, FL, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 in her home with her family at her side following a brief battle with cancer.
Julie was a juvenile diabetic who never let her illness impede her in any task she wished to accomplish. She enjoyed her life with her husband Frank, daughters Katy and Sara, and five grandchildren.
Julie was a 1991 graduate of Fredonia State College with a master’s degree, magna cum laude, in mathematics. She enjoyed her 20 years teaching 7th grade math at Cassadaga Central School. Her retired life was spent enjoying her grandchildren, working in her garden, and especially walking the beaches at their winter home of Venice, Fla. She also enjoyed spending time around her pool working on the many flowers and planters she was so proud of.
Additionally, Julie was an accomplished artist who most enjoyed gifting her five grandchildren paintings of their favorite scenes and superheroes for their bedrooms.
Julie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Frank Baggiano; daughters, Katy (Matthew) Sabol of Middletown, DE and Sara (Michael) Rinaldo of Grand Junction, CO; and her grandchildren, Jillian, Colin, Dominic, Molly and Sebastian. Also surviving are two sisters, Karen (Alfred) Cornell of Ellery, and Patti (Jeffrey) Flanders of West Ellicott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Irene Johnson Ohman; sister, Donna Lambert; and brother, Donald Ohman.
A Celebration of Life will be held in late November at a time and date to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Julie’s family requests memorials be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care at https://chpc.care/donate/ memorials_ donations/.
