Joseph Genco Jr.

He was born in Jamestown, NY on May 24,1973, the son of Joseph Genco and Dam Thi Bien. He was raised and educated in Jamestown, NY and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1991. Following his graduation, Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Operation Desert Storm. After returning to Jamestown following his enlistment, Joe continued his education at Jamestown Community College and received an Associate of Arts degree.

Following his time in the Air Force and JCC, Joe moved to the Los Angeles region of California, where he spent a large portion of his adult life. While in California, Joe pursued a career working as a computer technician and took advantage of all that California had to offer.

Joe was an intelligent and diverse individual with wide-ranging interests. He was first and foremost a Trekkie. His love of Star Trek was stoked at an early age and had a profoundly positive impact on his life. Joe also loved playing video games and music. As a hobby, he enjoyed tinkering with motorcycles, cars, and more recently, e-bikes.

In addition to his mother and father, Joe is survived by his brother, Mark Genco and his wife, Ignacia, and their son Maurizio. He is also survived by his sister, Samantha Etridge, her husband, Jonny, and their children, Aria and Jonathan.

Joe was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Teresa Genco.

Joe was dearly loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and will be terribly missed by his whole family, including his beloved dogs, Miss Pretty, Bella, and Bruno.
