Jane Ray Nickerson

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Terry; her children, Erin (Erica) Nickerson, Jennifer (Jerald) Dusenberry, and Vaun (Ginger) Nickerson; her grandchildren, Patrisha, Tryston, Phoebe, Colby, Delmont, Kylee, and Cooper; and her great-grandchild, Haven Jane. She is also survived by her siblings, Art, Millie, Anna, and Melody. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Dolly and Ellis Morris Jr, as well as her siblings, Ellis Morris III and Phyllis Jean Morris (Baby).

Jane was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland, and moved to Chautauqua, New York, with her husband Terry in 1971. She graduated from Chautauqua Central School in 1972. Over the years, Jane served in multiple capacities within her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, demonstrating her unwavering faith and dedication. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. An avid crafter, Jane enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and a variety of other creative pursuits. She was also a licensed optician and dedicated her time to serving at election booths during the last several elections.

Everyone who knew Jane was touched by her infectious passion for her family and life in general. She was a true example of service and love and will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service was held on November 19, 2024, at 10 AM
