Harold C. Reynolds
Harold C. Reynolds (Hal), 91, passed away at the Rouse Assisted Living Facility Nov. 8, 2024, at 8:45 am. He had lived there for six months.
He was born in New Castle, PA on May 17, 1933, and graduated from Hickory Township High School in Sharon, PA in 1951. He served in the Korean War 1953-55. Hal graduated from Anderson College, Anderson, IN in 1963.
Hal met his bride while attending Anderson College and they were married in 1956. They raised two daughters, Debbie and Sally. Hal was an entrepreneur, always interested in people and their lives. His favorite line of work was in serving as a teacher and principal at Triple C School in the Cayman Islands, 1969-73. Hal and Judy fell in love with the people of Grand Cayman and found great joy in serving with the Church of God congregations on the island.
Hal was a member of the Board of Trustees at Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, FL from 1995-2005, and a founding member of Liberty Christian School in Anderson, IN.
Hal was a member of South Meridian Church of God, Anderson, IN for over 40 years, and later worshiped at Busti Church of God in Jamestown, NY. He loved his Savior faithfully and crossed from death to life victoriously!
Survivors include daughters, Debbie Peirce and Sally (Roy) Ferguson. His beloved grandchildren, Nathanael (Kenzie) Ferguson and Anna (Drew) Capone, and great grandchildren, Emma, Sophea and Graham Ferguson. Brothers, David (Marilyn) Reynolds and Paul (Jerri) Reynolds. Also, cherished family throughout the country.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Judith Ann (Judy) Reynolds. Son-in-law, Larry Peirce. Father, Herbert C. Reynolds. Mother, Linnea Engstrom Reynolds Hanson. Stepfather, Ernest Hanson. Brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Anita Reynolds.
A graveside service will be held in Anderson, IN on Friday, Nov. 22 at 11 am. Maplewood Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at Busti Church of God, Jamestown, NY Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 2 pm.
Both officiated by the Rev. Roy Ferguson, son-in-law of Hal and Judy.
