Steven J. ten Pas

He was born on June 3, 1937 in Winterswijk, Netherlands, a son of the late Jan ten Pas, Sr. and Berendina Legters ten Pas.

Despite Steven only attending school through the 4th grade, it is amazing all that he accomplished and was so smart in many areas.

Steven was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycle and more recently enjoyed riding his electric trike motorcycle.

Prior to retirement, he was employed at Hope’s Windows for 43 years.

Steven is survived by his children: Steven (Tricia) ten Pas, Daniel (Amy) ten Pas, David ten Pas, Mindy (Scott) Scholeno; five grandchildren: Wilson (Reagan) ten Pas, Kasandra (Robert) Gonzales, Kortnie (Dylan) Knight, Andrew (Jamie) Scholeno, Anthony (Sydney) Scholeno; three great-grandchildren: Aria Gonzales, AJ Scholeno, Nixon Knight; and two brothers Arend and Frits ten Pas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis E. Wilson ten Pas, who passed away on August 23, 2020; two sisters Dina Grevers and Anna Scheurwater; and five brothers: Willem, Hendrik, Gerhard, Jan, Jr., and Bernard ten Pas.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Pastor Mike Herdzik will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Friends will be received from 5-7 pm on Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home.
