Marianne A. Johnson
Marianne A. Johnson, 95, passed away after a long, happy and satisfying life. She fell asleep indeath on October 5, 2024 with family around her at 12 Sciota Street where she lived with her Grandson and family.
She was born September 12, 1929 in Jamestown NY where she continued tolive throughout her life. She graduated from Jamestown High School in June 1947. Then immediately married the love of her life Royal Vincent Johnson, a farm boy, on July 12, 1947. After Marianne and Royal got married they both began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. On August 30, 1958 Marianne became baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, followed by her husband some years later. Throughout the years they both enjoyed privileges of service such as LDC, volunteering and helping others learn Bible truths. One truth she learned was the hope to see our loved ones again on paradise earth. Marianne spent many years as a school bus driver for Southwestern Central School. One of herfavorite pastimes was playing a card game, known as hand and foot with her family and friends.
Marianne is survived by her children, Royal (Cindy) Johnson, Tom L. Johnson, Tim (Alice) Johnson, Sam Johnson, Harry Johnson, and Maryann (David) Attard. She also survived by many, manygrandchildren and great grandchildren. Marianne is also survived by her brother Russell (Theresa) Swanson.\
Marianne is predeceased by her son Charlie Johnson, her loving husband Royal Johnson and two beloved daughters’ in-law Cora Lynn Johnson and Sandra Johnson. Marianne is also predeceasedby her “sister” Virginia Krivulka.Though Marianne will be missed by many, we take comfort in knowing that she is safely in Jehovah’s memory.
There will be a memorial talk on Saturday October 12, 2024 at 4 pm held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 181 Martin Rd. Jamestown NY.
