Lucille A. “Lucy” Genco

She was born April 2, 1939, in Jamestown the daughter of the late Paul and Elsie Esposito Pollaro.

She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.

Lucy was a lover of animals and rescued several cats and dogs over the years.

Surviving is her husband of 65 years John Genco; three daughters Lorie Genco of Jamestown, Debbie Genco of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jonna Genco of Lakewood; grandchildren Brandi (Damon) Shields, Danielle (Greg) Ackley, John (Hannah) Ackley and Rachel Armeli and great-grandchildren Nandi and Ezra Armeli, Leo and Suvi Ackley and Birdie and Locke Ackley.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Paul “Butch” Pollaro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday in St. James Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Visitation will not be observed.

In keeping with Lucy’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Finns Furever Feline Rescue or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
