Gary L. “Radar” Fellows Sr.

He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Royce and Helen Williams Fellows.

Gary was a 1964 graduate of Jamestown High School.

Before his retirement as a supervisor, he was employed by the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities for over 35 years.

Radar was a member of the Ira Lou Spring American Legion Post No. 149 and the Fluvanna War Vets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sharing great stories. He was proud to see the younger generations partaking in the same. His travels took him to the lakes and streams of Michigan, the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, lakes in Canada, and Florida. He was an honorary “Mayor” of Greenhurst, enjoying his Busch Light beer while surrounded by all his friends and family.

Surviving is his wife Marsha Mitchell Fellows whom he married May 30, 1992; his daughter Denise Balog of Holiday, FL; his son Gary (Jessica) Fellows Jr. of Lynden, WA; two stepchildren: Paul (Danine) Smola of Erie, PA, and Tina (Eric) Nord of Red Rock, AZ; five grandchildren: Jacquline Walker, Victoria Balog, Anthony Smola, Liam Fellows, and Brody Fellows; his three siblings: Dennis Fellows, Gail (Tom) Nolan, and Brian Fellows, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 10 am to 12 pm on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, at the Lind Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at the War Veterans Recreation Inc. in Jamestown starting at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Fluvanna Volunteer Fire Station , 3536 Fluvanna Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701.
