Donald L. Asel

He was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Jamestown, the son of the late Ralph Sr. and Beatrice Stanz Asel.

Don was a 1955 graduate of Bemus Point High School and continued his education at the University of Buffalo for two years.

He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Inc., Celoron Legion Post 777 and the Vikings Lodge IOV 65.

Before his retirement he worked as a lineman/installer for 39 years at Alltel/ Windstream and IBEW president for several years.

Donald loved woodworking and helped build several houses over the years including his own home.

Surviving are his four children: Donald Asel Jr. of Bradenton, FL, Scott Monjeau of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Prince of Frewsburg, NY, and William Jone of Richmond, VA and his brother Robert (Kris) Asel.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Ralph Asel Jr. and his sister Joyce Crespy.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday Oct. 30, 2024, at the Celoron Legion from 1 to 5 pm.
