Tamera M. “Tammy” Robson Weise

SHERMAN — Tamera M. “Tammy” Robson Weise, 61, of Sherman, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, with family by her side. She was born December 31, 1962, in Westfield, NY, the daughter of Albert and Geraldine Douglas Robson.

She was a 1980 graduate of Sherman Central School. For the past 10 years, Tammy had worked as the Town Clerk for the Town of Sherman. In earlier years she had worked for Brick Village Gourmet in Mayville, Maplevale Farms in Clymer, and as the Secretary for the Sherman Community Church.

Tammy was a member of the Findley Lake Church, Chautauqua County Clerk’s Association, and Koinonia of Jamestown and Chautauqua County. She was a past member of the Stanley Hose Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and had served on the Chautauqua County Dairy Princess Committee as a 4-H leader when her kids were young. She enjoyed going out for breakfast and coffee, baking, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ruston A Weise, whom she married October 3, 1981, in the Sherman Community Church, one daughter, Jennifer (Jeremey Stearns) Nickerson of Corry, PA, one son, Travis (Jessica) Weise of Sherman, eight grandchildren, Owen and Landon Nickerson, Dominic, Thomas, and Lila Stearns, and Hayden, Willa, and Tessa Weise, three siblings, Kathy (Dennis) Sweatman of Sherman, Tom (Pam) Robson of Westfield, and Krissy (Bill) Delcamp of Sherman, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Nickerson.

The funeral will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Findley Lake Church (2862 N Rd, Findley Lake, NY 14736). The Rev David Cooke will officiate. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8PM on Monday, Sept 23 at the church and from 10AM until the start of the service at noon on Tuesday, also at the church.
