Patricia Ann Nord

Patricia Ann Nord, 84, of Falconer passed away Saturday (September 21, 2024) surrounded by her family in UPMC Chautauqua after a brief illness.

A lifelong area resident she was born March 12, 1940 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Patsy and Mary Parsilliti Chest.

Patricia attended Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School and graduated from Jamestown High School. In earlier years she was employed by MRC.

She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. Her family and their happiness were the most important thing in her life. Pat loved sports, she watched her grandkids compete and was an avid Mets fan. She also loved tennis, where she got to meet her favorite player at the U.S. open, Djokavic. Patricia enjoyed cooking, but will always be remembered for her desserts, especially her Christmas cookies. She loved to read, play bingo, bowl, and her crocheted blankets are prized possessions.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandma, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Surviving are her four children: Stephen (Karen) Nord of Falconer, Thomas (Nancy) Nord of Arnold, MO, Rhonda (Francis “Chic”) Yachetta of Falconer, Heather (Josh) Stanford of Raleigh, NC; eleven grandchildren: Ryan Nord of Falconer, Sean Nord (Emily) of Austin, TX, Derrick Nord of Orangeburg, SC, Mike Polowy of Columbia, SC, Nicholas Polowy of Los Angeles, Chris Polowy of Savannah, GA, Sydney (Tabatha) Yachetta of Jamestown, Nicholas Yachetta (Katie) of Jamestown, Davis Stanford, Reid Stanford, Collins Stanford all of Raleigh, NC; one great grandson Dean Nord of Orangeburg, SC; two sisters: Diana (Ralph) Ruggerio of Stewart, FL, Linda (Tim), Hilsen of Saratoga, CA,.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Nord whom she married April 8, 1961, who died October 21, 1987 and a brother Nicholas Chest.

A private memorial graveside service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
