Martha E. “Marti” Gustafson

Marti was born on June 3, 1957, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Paul R. and Eleanor J. Field Sundquist.

Marti graduated from Jamestown High School in 1975. She was an avid softball player throughout the years. Marti was employed by Chautauqua Mechanical as an office manager for the last 25 years.

Marti was an avid camper at Hidden Valley Campground for many years. Throughout the years she helped organize all the vendors for the Busti Apple Festival. Her main priority was raising and caring for her family, she enjoyed spending time with them.

Marti is survived by her husband, Bradley Gustafson whom she married on September 5, 1998 in Ashville, NY; her stepson: Barry Gustafson (Angelia Pierce) of Great Valley, NY; stepdaughter: Sheena Gustafson of Fl; a sister: Priscilla Sundquist of Jamestown, NY; two brothers: Richard Sundquist of Jamestown, NY and David (Lisa) Sundquist of Lowville, NY; grandchildren: Nolan Gunnell (Annalisah Green), Payton Gunnell, Zaira and Bryce Gustafson and Zoey Longway and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Ryan P. Gunnell; a brother: Paul (Pete) Sundquist.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27th from 5-7 PM at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. 5th Street, Jamestown, NY.
