Charles L. “Charlie” Smith, 66, of Lakewood, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. A lifelong area resident, he was born on October 1, 1957, the son of the late Louis W. and Sabra M. Smith

There will be two memorial services for Past County Director of Emergency Services Charlie Smith on this Saturday September 14.

10:00AM —-Graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery, 907 Lakeview Ave. Jamestown, NY 14701 for family and friends. There will be light refreshments served immediately following at the Lakewood Fire Dept. Clubrooms located at 116 Pleasantview, Lakewood, NY.

2:00PM—-Firefighters Memorial service with participation from Fire and related Public Services agencies. This service is open to anyone wishing to attend to pay their respects to Charlie. This will also be held at the LFD Clubrooms. There will be food and refreshments served immediately following this service. Everyone is welcome.

Charlie wishes were that the 2:00PM service be informal with NO vehicles, no uniforms or extended ceremonies. His intent was to have friends and family have a good social time in his honor.
