Helen Waite

Helen was born on June 27, 1940, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Bogenschutz.

In 1973, she moved to Reno with her husband Bill, who was a Captain with TWA and flying out of San Francisco, Helen was employed at Valley Bank and later at Palm Memorial for many years. In 1995, she accepted a position as Activities Director at Odd Fellows Retirement Manor and retired there in 2013 after 17 years.

Helen and Bill loved their Saint Bernard dogs that they had over the many years of marriage. Helen was also very fond of the wild horses that roamed near their home. Helen will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her sister: Joyce Workens.

Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years William “Bill” Waite of Reno, NV; nephews: Scott and Craig Rogers of Charlotte, NC.

Family and friends may visit Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc.,316 E. 5th Jamestown, NY, on Friday, July 26th from noon until 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery, Bemus Point, NY.
