He was born on February 10, 1952 in Jamestown, NY, the son of Russell J Waterman, Sr and Mariana Lewis Waterman.
Larry was a graduate of Panama Central School. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic.
Larry’s devotion to music and muscle cars followed him throughout most of his life. While serving in the military in North Carolina, he was lead guitarist with the band “Preacher John and the Moonshiners” with his brother Ralph and friends. He returned home to New York in the early 70’s and soon after formed the band “The Sundowners” with his brother David, 2 brothers-in-law Dwight and Paul and good friend Kevin. Both bands crossed many genres of music including country, pop, oldies and bluegrass. After relocating to Florida, his family owned and operated Pickaway Music in Palm Bay.
Larry is survived by his wife, Karen, who was his loving caretaker. He is also survived by 2 sons, Michael and Andy, and 4 grandsons, Gabriel, Riley, Jackson and Maverick. Also surviving is a stepson, Robert Farnham.
