Jerry Alan Olson, 77, of Mayville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at St Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA. He was born on July 6, 1946, in Jamestown, NY, the son of Ruth Keller Rink and the late Glenn Olson.
He was a 1964 graduate of Chautauqua Central School. He then attended JCC. He had worked for Ethan Allen in Mayville, was a motorcycle mechanic, and also did lawn and dock work around Chautauqua Lake.
Jerry was a member of the Open Meadows and Magnolia United Methodist Church. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, feeding the seagulls, and ministry work.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Keller Rink, three brothers: Ronald (Marlene) Olson, Jeffrey (Dolores) Olson, and Daniel Hanson, all of Mayville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Glenn Olson, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A private graveside service will be held in the Blockville Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
