Michael David Moore, a beloved brother, musician, and kind soul, passed away at the age of 50 on Dec. 21, 2023. His untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born with an innate talent and a passion for music, Michael’s life was filled with song. His melodies had a way of touching the soul, weaving emotions into every note he played. Whether Michael was strumming his guitar or singing with friends, his music touched all who listened.
Beyond his musical gifts, Michael was a gentle soul, towering in stature yet endlessly kind and compassionate. He had a rare gift of empathy, offering solace and understanding to those around him. His presence was calming, his words always carrying wisdom and warmth.
Yet, despite his gentle nature, Michael battled his inner demons, succumbing tragically to the scourge of addiction. His struggle serves as a poignant reminder of the silent battles many endure behind smiling faces, a testament to the importance of mental health awareness and support.
He leaves behind beautiful music and memories cherished by his family, and friends. His spirit will forever echo through the melodies he sang, a reminder of his passion, talent, and the impact he had on those who crossed his path.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Ann Moore and father Buddy Dean Jackson. He is survived by sisters June Moore Sisson and Bethany Moore (Jerry) O’Brien and siblings Gregory Jackson, Tim Jackson, Deborah Jackson, Buddy Jackson Jr, Brian Jackson, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In his honor, let us remember the joy he brought through his music and the kindness he exuded. May we also strive to support those battling similar challenges, ensuring that Michael’s memory is not just of his music, but also a catalyst for understanding and compassion in our communities.

A service for Michael will be held at 1 pm on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Pastor Ronald Lemon will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
Friends and family will be received from 5-7 pm on Thursday in the funeral home.
