Stanley J. Anderson

Stanley was born on August 22, 1947 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Robert and Gloria Scibetta Anderson.

Stanley graduated from Southwestern High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Stanley was very proud of serving in the Navy and enjoyed talking about it to everyone.

Stanley was a truck driver for 40 years and worked for several trucking companies throughout his career. He retired in 2011 from Schuster Trucking Company. He drove through all over the U.S. and traveled through every state except Hawaii and Alaska. He was a human GPS.

Stanley enjoyed his limericks and people who knew him will remember him and his limericks. He loved his cats Mitzy and Bella. His favorite line was “Keep the Faith.”

Stanley is survived by his daughter Neisha Anderson of Randolph, NY; stepdaughter Lorie Warren of Jamestown, NY; grandchildren: Chelsea Coulter, Kara Leeper, Kourtney Leeper, Ryan Styles, and Nick Becker, all of Randolph, NY, and Jared Doverspike of Celoron, NY; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Nedra Anderson (June 10, 2023), his daughter Traci Becker, and his twin sister Sylvia Walker.

Family and friends may call at the Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. 5th St., Jamestown, NY on Friday from noon until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. The Rev. William Blair, pastor of New Creation Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
