Dorothy I. MacLees

She was born February 14, 1943 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Vernon and Gladys Morgan Warn.

She was a 1959 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and earned her associates degree from Jamestown Business College.

Before retirement, she worked for many years in Dr. Fagerstrom’s office. Dorothy loved making crafts using dried flowers, earning many awards for her work including one she won at the Philadelphia Flower Show. She attended many craft shows in the area.

She was a member of the Chautauqua County Society of Artists and enjoyed reading and gardening.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 32 years, David K. MacLees; three sons: Tom Hagberg, Frank Hagberg, Joe (Beth) Hagberg; three stepsons: Alex (Wendy) MacLees, Shawn (Rachel) MacLees, Mike (Tara) MacLees; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Claire Lander, Marilyn Gleason, Sue Thomas, and Betsy Lyndaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Vernon Hagberg and Anna Hanson.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in the Ivory Baptist Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Don Reese will officiate. Burial will be in Ivory Cemetery.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the church.
