Carol “Doreen” Downey
Carol “Doreen” Downey, 68 of Jamestown passed away Oct. 25, 2023 at UPMC Hamot after a short illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1954 in Bradford, PA to Robert Franklin Sr. and Thelma Coy.
Carol was a huge lover of animals. She enjoyed fishing and camping. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her sister, Eileen; and her three grandchildren, Michael Foley, Melissa Elderkin and Addison Downey. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her son, Justin Downey; her brother, Robert Franklin Jr.; her sisters, Cindy Franklin and Patricia Franklin.
Visitation will be held Saturday Nov. 4, 2023 from 1 PM – 3 PM at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the funeral home.
