Sondra C. Nelson

She was born October 18, 1938 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late N C Vincent and Gladys Griggs Nelson.

Sondra attended Southwestern Central High School. She was employed at the Fenton Park Nursing Home and then owned and operated a cleaning business for many years.

She enjoyed reading, watching birds, sitting on the porch, and her family meant the world to her. Sondra was an active member of the Koinonia Christian Fellowship Church where she attended bible study and Sunday services and was also a member of the Jamestown Coin Club.

Sondra is survived by her brother Ronald Nelson; her children: April Sardi, Cris (Judy) Dahlgren, Susan (Charles) Caputy, Candee Waite Nelson; eight grandchildren: Christian, Malik, Jennifer, Ricky, Melissa, Hunter, Lisa, Scott; and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gail Nelson and her significant other, Richard Pangborn.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Koinonia Christian Fellowship, 1427 Warren Jamestown Blvd, Jamestown. Pastor Ron Lemon will officiate.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the church.
