Harold W. Anderson Sr.

Harold W. Anderson Sr.

ASHVILLE- Harold W. Anderson, Sr., 84 of Ashville, New York, peacefully joined his late mother and father in heaven surrounded and cared for by his large loving family on October 26, 2023.

He was born in the living room of his lifetime home in Ashville, New York on January 31, 1939. He graduated from Chautauqua Central School in 1957 and was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

He was married to his lifelong sweetheart Sandra Anderson for 64 years.

Harold worked along with his father at Anderson Radiator until he took over the business with his wife Sandra. He later worked for Jamestown Advanced Products until retirement.

Harold will be best known for his great pride and love for his family. He raised a loving and devoted family that would do anything to bring a smile to his face. He was happiest when all his loved ones were near celebrating holidays and spending time together. An Anderson holiday was not complete without being surrounded by his loved ones and a ham or turkey dinner with all the fixing being prepared.

He was always a man of his word, stubborn, full of honorability, loyalty and trustworthiness, which was always instilled in his family. His family fondly remembers him as one of the last “John Wayne’s” of America to which his wife Sandra could be seen as Maureen O’Hara. At any given time a John Wayne movie could be seen playing on his home television or Johnny Cash playing outside on his garage radio. Harold was always seen wearing a tractor/Trump hat and traveling around town with his family dog.

Harold loved his generational and lifetime property on Ramsey Road. He had a passion for antiques, loving animals and being a gentleman farmer. He could always be found working on one of his numerous tractors and avidly hunting for antique tractors, tractor parts and going to tractor shows. His family fully expects miscellaneous tractor parts to arrive in the mail for months to come.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Dorothy Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Beckstrom), and legacy consisting of four children, Deborah Smith (Don) of Ashville, NY, Laura Asel (Michael) of Ashville, NY, Harold Anderson, Jr. (Mel Teculver) of Sherman, NY, and Lynn Martin (Jeffrey) of Lake View, NY; eight grandchildren; Deniese Buckingham, Stacey Asel, Tanya Beatman (Michael), Tiffany Babcock (Nate), Donna Norrod (Darrell), Casey Demarco (Vinny), Curtis Martin (Erica) and Stephanie Asel and 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, three sisters Louetta McChesney, Rena Cowen and Grace Anderson and once in lifetime childhood buddy who was more like a brother, Irving Michaels and lifetime friend Dean Lindquist.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, knowing Harold, he would ask you to cast your vote for TRUMP.
