William C. Bollman

William C. Bollman, 87 of Danville, IN passed away on Sept. 3, 2023 at Asbury Towers of Greencastle, IN. He was born on Aug. 7, 1936 in Jamestown, New York, to the late Helen (Hohl) and John W. Bollman. William married Palmira Jean Mata on April 11, 1959 in Jamestown, New York. In his younger days, William enjoyed riding his 1949 Indian Chief and hanging out with his wife. William was interested in anything that had a motor and there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix. William worked for Blackstone Corp. and in 1981 he and his family moved to Danville, Indiana where he worked for Carrier Corp. for many years. His last 10 years of employment were with Inland Container as a Maintenance Technician. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Palmira Jean; children, Patricia Lehr (Mark) of Coatesville, IN, Josef Bollman (Tina Brockway), former daughter-in-law, Rae Bollman, all of Falconer, New York, daughter-in-law, Ruth Bollman of Greencastle, IN; grandchildren, Lesley, Ryanne, and Joe Lehr (Bre), Nicholas and Christopher Bollman, Larry Mcallister (Denise), great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob and Jensen Lehr Conner and Karisa Mcallister, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher Charles Bollman; and siblings, John Bollman, James Bollman, Mary Jo Shepard Darroch, and Barbara Wigley. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
