Eric J. Miller, 65, passed away Aug. 28, 2023 at home surrounded by family following a lengthy battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, the only child of Harry and Adele Miller.
He graduated from Cheektowaga Central in 1976, where he met the love of his life, Donna Marlinski. They recently celebrated 44 years of marriage filled with laughter and adventure. Eric served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Pine Hill Hose Company prior to relocating to Lakewood, New York.
It was in the Lakewood area that, together, they owned and operated several businesses while raising their four children. In the winter months, Eric enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, and ice fishing. In the warmer months he loved riding ATVs, fishing, and boating on Chautauqua Lake. He was bestowed the title “Kielbasa King” by his family for his yearly tradition of making homemade Polish sausage. In addition, he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, never giving up hope for a Super Bowl Championship. Eric was known for his witty sense of humor, right up to his last days. His charismatic personality and generous spirit made him a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Adele Miller, his in-laws Richard and Eleanor Marlinski, and brother in-law James Marlinski.
Eric will be dearly missed by his wife Donna (Marlinski) Miller, son Justin, daughters Maureen (Brent) Cole, Ashley (Mike) Robertson, and Alyssa Miller, and grandchildren Alaina, Corbin, Marissa, Matthew, Noah, Ethan, Owen, and Nicklaus.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 12 pm at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Friends and family are encouraged to wear Buffalo Bills attire, share a favorite memory of Eric, and cheer on the Bills to a victory!
