Karen Anne Switaj

She was born on October 27, 1952, in Silver Creek, NY the daughter of the late Donald Luther Frost and Inez Barrus Allen.

She attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by Jamestown General Hospital, The Resource Center, and First Student.

Karen was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing and doing crafts.

Surviving is her daughter: Tammy (Herbert) L. Beaman of Cassadaga; a son: Timothy (Jennifer) L. Switaj of Busti; six grandchildren: Ruby Beaman, Tylor Beaman, Nickala (David) Whitmore, Valerie (Blake) Brubaker, Natalie (Jacob) Ustick, Travis Switaj; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters: Francelia Skoglund of Jamestown, Marcia Brown of Falconer; a brother: Rodney Lobe of Jamestown;

Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a son: Thomas L. Switaj, Jr.; a grandson Briar Beaman; her father Donald Frost, her mother Inez Allen, step father Phil Allen and three brothers: Duane Frost, Donald L. Frost Jr. and Jack Frost.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (June 9, 2023) in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Lemon will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family invites friends to join them at the Bust Fire Department at 888 Mill Road, Jamestown, NY 14701 after the funeral service for a reception.
