Wallace Herbert Linamen

As a young man, he spent many summers working on his Grandfather Saxtons farm in Stow, New York.

After graduation from Bemus Point High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served honorably as a Hospital Corpsman in Navy Hospitals during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan attached to the United States Marine Corps. The family is very proud of his service to America.

After retirement, he enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener, reader and was very dedicated to his little Shih-Tzu, Trixie. He loved country music and enjoyed singing karaoke.

Wally is survived by: Kimberley Linamen (wife) Maylene, Alabama, Howard Linamen (son) Ashville, New York, Betty Maxim (daughter) Syracuse, New York, Christina, Catherine and William Linamen (daughters and son) San Diego, Ca., Greg Linamen (brother) Winterhaven, Florida, Ron Linamen (brother) Lakewood, New York, Jay Linamen (brother) Lakeland, Florida, Anne Bolles (sister) Lakeland, Florida, Holly Coldiron (sister) Mulberry, Florida, Kelly Coyle (step daughter), Maylene, Alabama.

“Angels come down from the Heavens to help us on our way. Come to teach us, then they leave us. Seen my share of broken halos, folded wings that used to fly. They’ve all gone to wherever they go. Don’t go looking for reasons, don’t go asking Jesus why. We’re not meant to know the answers…they belong to the by and by.
