Tarpon Springs, Florida — Anneliese Horton, 87, of, Tarpon Springs, FL, formerly of Randolph, passed away Sunday, (March 12, 2023) at Orchid Cove Hospice, in Oldsmar, FL. She was born June 6, 1935 in Wurzburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Christof. and Juliana (Giegerich) Burger. Anneliese grew up in Germany and moved to the United States in her early 20s. She was a home maker and worked at the former Crawford Furniture in Jamestown. She was a member of the Randolph American Legion Unit 181 and Randolph VFW Post 6533 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and gardening. She is survived by her four children; Michael Howard and wife Lorraine of Conewango Valley, Maria Otero and husband Don of Tarpon Springs, FL, Karin Kilburn and husband Marshall of Lovelee, KY and Julianne Howard Kinney of St. Petersburg, FL, several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and two sisters, Franzika Lau and Waltrude Faust, She was preceded in death by her parents Christof and Juliana, her husband Lawrence Horton, siblings; Eric Burger, Alfred Burger, Katharina McClure, Maria Haun and Siegfried Burger. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation held. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph.
