John R. Rauh

He was born April 20, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Alfred and Hildegarde Rauh. John was married to the former Hildegarde Fischer on February 11, 1961.

John was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and a graduate of Canisius College where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management. John also attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University where he earned his Master’s in Banking. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Kingsview Enterprises in Jamestown and also an area executive of HSBC.

John is survived by his wife, Hildegarde Fischer Rauh, three sons; John F. (Megan) Rauh of Ashville, NY, James (Stacy) Rauh of Lakewood, NY, Robert A. (Vicki) Rauh of Bemus Point, NY, three daughters; Mary (Jeffrey) Castle of Bemus Point, NY, Bridget (Karen Schoppe) Rauh of Frewsburg, NY, Deborah (Patrick) Kelly of Charlotte, NC, a sister; Barbara Czora of Hamburg, NY. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; Jeanne (Nelson), John, Hannah (Lenart), Elizabeth (Martin), Robert Jr., Christina (Borowski), Nicole, James, Jenna (Whitney), Sara (Jacobson), Anna, Bert, Connor, David, Elysa, Michael, Alexandra Joseph, and Ryan and twelve great grandchildren; Rory, Brynn, John F., Hartley, Hayden, Robbie, Jay, Victoria, Tori, Brody, Tate, and Isabelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Rauh.

The family will receive family and friends at the family home (50 Grandview Ave, Lakewood, NY) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Funeral services will be at Sacred Heart in Lakewood, NY at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Rev. Donald Watkins, will be celebrant. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamestown, NY where full Military honors will be observed.
