Geraldine J. Sard

She was born June 3, 1938, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Don and Vera Schilling Kahle.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Panama Central School as a custodian. She loved her job and interacting with the kids.

She attended Watts Flats United Methodist Church.

She loved visiting Cooks Forest, being outdoors, camping, campfires and listening to music, especially country music. She enjoyed spending time with family, laughing and going for rides in the car.

Surviving is five children: Thomas (Vicki) Torres of Panama, Virginia Weeks of Texas, Victor Torres of Puerto Rico and Cindy (Mark Smith) Torres and Sonya Gibbs, both of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law Maryann Kahle and Rachel Kahle.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Sard; a son, Robert Torres; and siblings: Don, Bruce, Jim and Johnny Kahle, Doris Raemakers, Ruth Maddox and Maxine Ricketts.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home, where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Panama Greenwood Cemetery.
