“Cy” Ronald Robert Crouse

Cy was born February 13, 1938 in Quaker Bridge, N.Y., the son of the late Carl Walter and Alma J. (Nephew) Crouse

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians Beaver Clan and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving from Feb. 2, 1961 to Jan. 27, 1964.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and had worked for Crosby Construction in Salamanca.

He is survived by a daughter, Rachel Crouse, two granddaughters: Lauren CrouseRuiz and Amber Brooks; a sister, Stephanie (the late Alan) Witherite of Salamanca; and a brother, Edwin “Dray” Crouse of Salamanca.

He was preceded by a daughter, Sheila Crouse; a granddaughter, Laurie Lynn Henhawk; fivr sisters: Barbara Crouse, Carol (Bud) Fiebelkorn, Phoebe Crouse, Beverly Wheeler and Carla Wheeler; and a brother, Stephen Crouse.

The family will receive family and friends, Friday Dec. 2, 2022 from noon- 1 p.m., from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church S., Randolph. A service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Full military honors under the Command of Ronald L. Cook Jr. Post Commander, American Legion Iroqouis Post 1587, will follow at the Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg.
