Glen H. Holthouse
Glen H. Holthouse, 90, of Panama, N.Y., entered heaven on Saturday Sept. 10, 2022, at The Star Hospice House in Lakewood, N.Y.
Glen was born in Clymer, N.Y., on April 19, 1932, to the late Jesse and Ruth (Einink) Holthouse.
He graduated from Clymer Central School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, Ga., from 1956-58. Before serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for Legters Brothers in Clymer, N.Y. He was a member of the Abbe Reformed Church, where he served as deacon and elder. Glen owned and operated a dairy farm since 1958. He could be found in the barn feeding cows or out in a field on one of his Allis Chalmers tractors until the age of 89. He worked hard, loved God, his family and the land.
Glen is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Augustine) Holthouse; son, Steve (Laurie), daughters: Nancy and Bethann; granddaughters: Anna and Sara Holthouse; sister, Doris Holthouse; three nieces and two nephews; sister-in-law, Carole Holthouse; and many great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Glen is preceded in death by his brothers: Ralph and Merle; sister-in-law, Edith Holthous,; brother-in-law, Eugene Augustine; and nephew, Rick Augustine.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m.- noon on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at the Abbe Reformed Church, 595 Clymer-Sherman Road, Clymer, NY 14724, where funeral services will immediately follow at noon, with Pastor Thom Daubenspeck officiating.
