Bradley (Brad) Lown
Bradley (Brad) Lown, 77, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Friday Sept. 2, 2022, at Ocala Regional Medical Center. Brad was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Wellsville, N.Y., the son of the late Manley and Alice Lown.
Brad graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 1962. Following graduation Brad earned a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in psychology from the University of Rochester. He was a professor of psychology at Buffalo State College until his retirement.
After his retirement he moved to Ocala, Fla., enjoying the sun and heat. Brad was an avid reader, having a library in his home consisting of hundreds of books. He was also an expert ornithologist; he introduced his sister Nancy to the love of birds.
He loved his constant companion of over 14 years, Daisy. They both moved on only one day part.
He was known as a considerate, kind and generous person, but a quiet man. He never criticized or judged others, accepting them for who they were.
Brad is survived by his sister, Nancy Restivo of Jamestown, N.Y., his nephew Michael (Stephanie) Restivo of Jamestown, N.Y., his niece Tina Restivo of Greer, S.C., and his great nephew Ryan Restivo of Jamestown, N.Y.
Brad will be laid to rest in the Praire Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville, Fla. Donations can made to a charity of your choice.
