Ann C. Beebe

She was born February 5, 1947 in Bronxville, NY, a daughter of the late Terry and Catherine (Carter) Peterson.

Ann was raised and educated in Sparta, New Jersey. She then attended and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan College obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a major on organ, and a Master Degree of Library Science from SUNY at Geneseo . After college, Ann became an elementary school librarian and worked over 20 years for the Clymer Central School. Ann loved music and played as a substitute organist at the Abbe Reformed Church, Clymer where she was a member until the 1990s. She then joined the Fredonia Friends Meeting. Ann was a member of Jamestown Audubon Society. She enjoyed doing bird counts with the society, hiking, and gardening, loved nature and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed Chautauqua Institute and was a member of the CLSC and played for the Chautauqua Institute Catholic Services.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Beebe.

Ann is survived by several close friends and cousins.

No service will be held at this time.

Memorial may be made to the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Rd., Jamestown, NY 14724.
