Virginia “Ginny” Confer

She was born on March 14, 1930, to the late James H. and Florence M. Barber Proper.

Ginny grew up in the family business of Proper’s Greenhouse and had her own business, Virginia’s Antiques & Gifts, for 33 years. Also a family caregiver, Virginia had taken several elderly relatives into her home and devoted her life to this personal mission.

Originally a longtime resident of Bradford Pa., life took her to Norfolk Va., Central Florida, Warren Pa., Jamestown, N.Y., and Gerry N.Y.

Surviving is her son: James H. Confer Sr. (Linda); two daughters: Ronda Whitford (Nathan) and Kathleen Confer (Chas Campbell); two grandsons: James H. Confer Jr. and Shawn Whitford; a granddaughter: Kat Campbell; several step and great-step- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Confer; and a grandson, Ron Confer.

She was a member of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church and Gerry United Methodist Church.

A special thank you to all private caregivers and Heritage staff who lovingly cared for Ginny.

Burial will take place in Willow Dale Cemetery, Bradford Pa. A celebration of life will be held on May 1, details to be announced at a later date.
