Alice P. Reynolds

Alice P. Reynolds, 93, of Sherman, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. She was born on November 14, 1927 in Mina, N.Y., the daughter of Paul and Margaret Persons. Alice was a graduate of Sherman Central School.

She attended Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City, N.Y. She married Everett Reynolds on November 12, 1952. Alice and Everett were lifetime residents of Sherman where they owned a dairy farm. She was actively involved in the farm operation and enjoyed a menagerie of farm pets. Alice provided for her family with a large garden and many baked goods. She loved taking walks in the woods, playing games, sledding and fun times with her family. Alice loved attending and hosting many family gatherings. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sherman, where she faithfully served as church treasurer, Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. Alice will be remembered for her wit and humor. She loved her family, hard work and her Lord Jesus Christ.

Alice is survived by: her daughter, Anita (Tom) Lozier of Sherman, N.Y. and her son, Paul (Carolyn) Reynolds, also of Sherman, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren: Jean Lozier and Ben Lozier, both of Sherman, N.Y., Jonathan Lozier of Martville, N.Y., Tim (Savannah) Lozier of Dewittville, N.Y., Ruth (Matt) Stiles of Bradford, N.Y., Scott (Shaina) Reynolds of Busti, N.Y. and Ethan (Judy) Reynolds of Sinclairville, N.Y. and 10 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, her brother Ho-ward Persons and two sisters: Ruth Oviatt and Lucille Tucker.

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10 am- 12 noon at the Sherman Baptist Church, 113 Church Street, Sherman, N.Y. where a funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in the Mina Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to the Sherman Baptist Church or the Stanley Hose Co.
