David C. Brooks

David C. Brooks, 79, of 3343 Fluvanna Townline Road, died at home on Sa-turday, June 26, 2021.
Born Jan. 3, 1942, in Franklin, Pa., he was one of nine children of the late Herbert and Eva Galbreath Brooks.
David grew up and gra-duated from high school in Jamestown. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and was stationed in Braconne, France, where he met and married his wife of 56 years, Annie Campos Brooks.
David was a member of the Local 22 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union until re-tirement. He was an avid collector of antique glass, porcelain, and lamps, as well as a woodworker who made his own cabinetry and furniture.
Surviving are his wife, Annie; his four children: Phillip Brooks, Mark Brooks, Carrie Brooks Lil-lie and Jason Brooks’ as well as 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchil-dren. Also surviving are three sisters: Nancy John-son, Sandy Haines and Su-san Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Herky, Tom, Gibby and Donny Brooks; and a sister, Annie West.
David gifted his remains to the University of Buffalo for cancer research. No fun-eral service or visitation will be observed.
